Ages 5-9 Cooperataive games with themes, partner yoga, storytelling, music, and art combine to help this age group explore yoga postures and relaxation skills, including breathing exercises. Ages 10-14 Classes integrate more formal instruction with playful activities to challenge students in their yoga process as they learn postures and breathing exercises. Very motivating one-hour classes, build muscle tone and flexibility, plus a time of focus, calm and friendship into young lives. Challenging asana, private journaling, guided meditation and breathing techniques are all combined to help pre-teens and teens cope with life’s big and little challenges.

Come and experience a new way to practice yoga! Partner yoga uses the buddy system to dissolve tension, focus the mind and increase strength, stamina and flexibility. In the poses (asanas) partners rely on each other’s support to keep correct body alignment, balance and concentration. With trust, communication and using the breath a partner dynamic is created to achieve more than one person could alone. As you practice with your partner you will find that some asanas challenge your balance, strength and flexibility, others require your total trust and surrender.
A Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy session is a one-on-one process lasting one-and-a-half hours. Through assisted yoga postures and non-directive dialogue, practitioners guide clients to experience the connection of their physical and emotional selves. Using focused breathing, this connection is held and explored, fostering release, personal growth and healing.

Learn the basic techniques on how to meditate. An individual emerging from a period of meditation, however brief, will notice a change in their emotional state from when they started their meditation exercise. This can present itself in many ways, often as a feeling of being refreshed, with a more positive attitude and a general feeling of well being. Things that had been bothering them may now be seen in a new and more helpful way. They have a different perspective on things and feel much more in control.
