Raymonde's Yoga Philosophy

I have found that people have various preconceptions and concerns about yoga. Some people fear that it will be beyond them physically. Others are concerned that it will not be challenging enough. Some are concerned that yoga involves strange things like chanting. One of the facts of yoga is that there are many different styles of yoga and schools of yoga. The bottom line is we each have to find a teacher and a program that fits our needs.

Our Partner Yoga Retreat at the Rockwater Secret Cove Resort on B.C.'s Sunshine Coast, Feb 14 2009.

I try to design my programs so that my students' first experience is positive so that they will want to continue to grow in their practice and make it part of their lives as opposed to a passing fancy. I like my classes to be small enough so that I can give each student personal attention. My pricing is designed to encourage people to come more than once a week.

My motto is "No gain with pain". Some teachers believe that you should go through pain. My belief is that pain is your body's way of telling you that you have reached your edge. On the other hand if you want to grow you do need to go to your edge with each posture and work to move just a little bit deeper each time.
